Ben Moore - 2020  (formerly Class Of 2021)

A Few Words About Me

Hi, my name is Ben Moore

I attend Villa Park High School, a Division I school in Southern California.  I play basketball on the JV team and take my studies seriously.  I earned both the Scholar Athlete Award and Player Of The Year award  on Frosh/Soph for my Freshman year season. and was also a team Captain.  I  got called up to JV during CIF and started on JV Sophomore year. Although we haven't had tryouts yet, I will probably play JV again due to my size and the the number of transfers my school attracts.  I have played on various club teams including OC Rain, Cali Rebels, KIN Basketball Academy, and Hardwork  Basketball.

I am about 5' 10 and 150 lbs.  I am a shooting guard  and known for my three point shooting.  I will typically average 12-18 ppg and have three to five 3-pointers a game being typical.  These stats are with only playing half a game, as even starters don't play full games at lower levels.

I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA in both high school and college. I have 25 college credits and am applying a few of them toward high school to graduate early as a Junior.  I will be attending college in the Fall of 2020 and look forward to the next level of my education and possibly basketball if I get the opportunity.

What Coaches Say

  1. ...outside the court, he's an outstanding student. In terms of his practice, I can tell you he was there every single day, he didn't talk back, he just came in and took care of business. On the floor, his shooting is just unbelievable. I think along with Matt M. , he might be the face of Villa Park one of these days.

  1. ..."For parents who actually have seen games and even the Varsity guys as well, we know that he's a shooter. The reason why he actually received this award is what he did on the other side of the floor; always asking questions as far as, "Coach, how can I improve?. How can I improve?" and he did that very much so toward the latter part of the season picking up on defense, not only on the ball primarily, but also off the ball, split line defense as well."
